What is the Bacup Hub (Formerly Bacup Leisure Hall)
The Bacup Hub is the one stop shop for all events regardless of size in the Valley. We can cater for meetings with just 2 attending to a full use event using the whole venue for upto 600 people.
With two fully functioning bars and a free house, you can enjoy hours of fun. We pride ourselves on not turning anyone away for an event. We are happy to host 16th birthday parties upto mud wrestling events.
We are party crazy at the hub and if you book with us you get your own party planner on request. We cater for 1st birthdays all the way through. Our common parties for children are our cub cart parties or our cinema parties which for as little as £3.50 a head you get a full party package.
We cater for all elements of the community from the "cradle to the grave". We are proud to have set up in Bacup and look forward to working with the local people and those across the Valley in providing a place for everyone to meet and socialise.
The main reason for the refurbishment is to show you how the venue can look for a wedding. We have some fantastic wedding packages at the hub, with an all inclusive wedding for 50 people all day costing as little as £1,000. You get your own party planner and we can make the place look like a beachy wedding scene to a midnight romantic getaway. There is nothing we cannot do.
We are big enough to cater and small enough to care as the saying goes.
What we need to point out is that we still have a fully functioning squash court and badminton court with changing and shower facilities. With court time costing as little as £5 per session and a nice seating area to chill after the game there is no need to travel outside the area. Table tennis is now available at the hub. We are currently engaging with 2 professional football teams to put 5 a side matches on in the hall too.
Something new for the hub with the current ownership is the business environment. Linking with Larner Murphy Accountants Limited, the hub offers a free and warm environment for new and fledgling businesses who may want a desk or a meeting room for that important client. This is all offered free with free wi-fi.
The major development over the next year is the childrens facilities. We will have a full summer programme to offer to the community but later in the year we will be starting the build on the new childrens indoor play centre and quazar retreat. There will be a junior and hopefully senior climbing wall with access directly from the car park. Caterpillar Fun will be with us by next year. Until this happens with now have our own mini cinema and soon to be full cinema system, we have crafts and childrens play activities.
This is just the start, over the coming year there will be many improvements and events added to what we currently offer.
